I often wonder, if at 200mph along a motorway would you loose the helicopter? I must admit, they do an amazing job.

Chopper tops out at @ 130 IIRC so doing 200 you indeed would lose it fairly quickly !!!


Dont think have seen anyone get away when they have the chopper on their tail though

But helicopters can cut across the bends while keeping you in sight, so doesn't that even things up a lot?

Yeah, I assumed because you are going faster you would loose them over 150+mph, I then realised they don't have traffic etc. Atlough I am told if you fly over a no flying zone that could work?

But if the person running has a LONG LONG motorway without many curves then the car would easily lose the chopper if it were doing speeds like 180-200mph

old tale but i'll retell it again

i was in a hurry
round the 25
giving it beans and well over double the limit
phone rang
slowed down to answer the call
took the call
made sure nothing was catching me up
saw the hid lights in the distance
waitied till they caught up to make sure it wasn't plod
it wasn't
gave it full beans again
hid lights fell back out of sight again
phone rang again
slowed down again
lights caught up

saw the blues and twos going so didn't
copper went past
let him go
went to give it some
next copper pulled up along side and told me to pull over
"do you mind looking up sir?"
"i'm very sorry officer, i know it's a little overcast but it wasn't raining"
"see that little spec? that's the helicopter, if he'd have caught you you'd be in the back of my motor/walking home, off you go, and slow down"
"yes sir, thank yu sir, see you later sir" and off i went

i'm sure someone will coroborate this tale as he was on the phone to me when i slowed down and i told him all about it when i got to his house

my old man wasn't best pleased though, i'd done most of a tank of feul and he wanted the car the next day

When I was 12 I stole a packet of skittles from ASDA and when I got outside the helicopter was above us. I got so scared I ran back in and gave them to the fat lady who works there. I was so upset she let me off. Then when we got home I seen on the news there had been an armed robbery about half a mile away.

Little pussy when you were young then

Incidently i was the same when i was little

Me and my mate used to go round the villiage at night time with our bb guns, we used to shoot peoples windows(houses) to provoke a reaction.

Anyway this one time i remember now it was pitch black apart from one or 2 street lights, a row of houses and a hedge one side with loads of cars, and cars on the other side of the road, so we kneel down and aim to this window and fire, and the house owner was only sat in his car about 15 feet away wasnt he he got out and chased us, ive never ran so fast in my life, we never looked back for about 2minutes of constant running, my heart was in my mouth shit scared at the time, then we hide out in some undergrowth and there was like 3 people looking for us.

They never got us/found out
