British car auctions have branches around the country and you dont need to pay to bid- just a few quid for an auction catologue.

If you dont know where they are I suggest you're new to Auctions... so go along to a few first and get a feel for them... they move very quickly.

Get used to eating Auction food for a few days a week too

In that case then, BCA would be good.

Its more for your fleet sales managers etc to put their cars through.
Therefore the older shit doesn't tend to go through for much more than pennies as none of the big buyers in the room would buy that shite.

The more local independants have more of the shit and it seems to go through at higher prices as its mostly people looking for a bargain.. couple of hundred quid off the local rag prices.

I would echo this and I'm not a trader...

I reckon in most "normal" run of the mill fleet cars.. your mondeo's, pug 407's, avensis, vectra's, meganes that sort of thing... from the prices I'd seen public on forecourts and auto trader there was prob no more than 500-1000 tops in the cars after haggling and thats if they sold quickly and without hassle afterwards.

As said above, it's best not to use the smaller independant auctions as invariably they get the shit.

Manheim and BCA are the 2 main and largest, they will get shit also but there will be more ex fleet cars and p/ex's from the larger franchised dealers.

Look on their websites to find what's closest to you.
