got a rover coupe and lost the fooking key in the past 2 week, looked everywhere no joy. its unlocked so dont need to break in, can i get a new key with chassis number at all (any cross reference??) as never got a key code card or is it new locks time?

 

Is it the same key for the door & ignition?

If it is take out the door lock & take it with your log book & some i.d (unless your getting it done from a key cutting kiosk) & go get one cut

 

i dunno what the procedure with rover is if they have master key or anything, but you should be able to get a company to come out, cut a key for that lock and program it in, wont coist much either, but they may need the master key, which in that case your fooked and its gonna cost a little more to get it done..
