All that black crap stuck to the floor and everywhere!!

Whats the best way to get it all off.

Tried getting it of with a scraper and petrol but took hours to do a small part.

Anyone got a good solution.

Heat gun mate! Black and decker paint stripper thingy!

But you'll still have to put some elbow grease into it!

 

do it on a nice cold morning with a chisel.. it'll just come off in chunks.

 

as above nice sharp scraper and do it as it then clean it with thinner

Did my S1 in about 2 hours.

 

Heard a knotted wire brush is the go.

 

Heat it gently and at the same time get a scraper under it, if you move the heat and follow it with the scraper it comes off very easily.

I have tried loads of different ways and that by far is the simplest cleanest way of doing it

 

Thats the easiest and cleanest way to do it

Then use a heat gun on the bits that wouldnt shift

 

i used a heat gun and paint scraper, dont get little chips everywhere so its easier to clear the car out

Dont really want to paint afterwards so have to be carefull not to scratch paint with chissel.

why u taking it off?

 

To loose some unwanted weight, and it looks like shite without carpets in

 

it won't be body colour underneath - will be primer or bare metal

 

heat gun is what I used. As said above thou, you will have to paint it anyway, so will be primer under it.

 

If its on a ford mate just gently push in the middle of the panel and the whole section will drop out, then just weld in a brand new one...Job done

Buy some dry ice and put it on and leave it for abit, then just shatter it off as it will have become brittle from the cold
