fitted my HID conversion kit today stunned with the results
the old bulbs
HID conversion
best £100 ive spent in ages
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...B%2B%26fvi%3D1
install was a bit of a pain due to lack of space... few pickys for you
only one slight problem..as the hids have there own loom...the blown bulb warning lights are now showing on the dash
how do i complete the circuit on the offside headlamp plug connection ??
the nearside one is connected to the hid loom with a relay for full beam...

you shouldn't really use the xenon kits on the full beam as the ballast are not designed to go on and off lots of times frequently. i.e. if you flash someone, also they take a couple of second to get upto brightness. Steve

I've head that these kits tend to just have a "blob" of light which is technically illegal.

there are cheaper kits out there, but these seemed well made, from a uk based company so no probs with returns, and lets face it 100 quid for results like these is cheap!
even if the mot guy doesnt like them,no issue the standard wiring is still in place, just swap bulbs for the test

Then a week or so later the n/s stopped working on the way home from work the ebay seller stopped trading when i emailed them so never got my money back
avid-fan would be good to see the pattern on a wall from this kit

Steve - Glad ya liked them buddy
As steve's reply above has pointed out above you are incorrect. The Bi-xenon kits have a motor built into the rear of the blub. So when you 'flash' someone the motor moves the angle of the blub creating high beam. So the xenon's are always 100% working.
Plus on a saff you have a seperate high beam blub within the headlight.

Ive got some on my Audi, 42 quid delivered from Hong Kong
Am also getting a 2nd kit to use on the fogs, as they are the same H1 bulb as the headlights, and finally some LED sidelights to match.
When its done it will look like this
Mine currently looks like this, shows the difference between the old piss yellow and new hids well

Martyn - Now that's an idea....
I don't think an type of blub would fit in a saff fog light and the blub is quite small.. The smallest blub in HID form i think is H1 and they are still quite long and i's doubt they'd fit!

Do it Kev!
I remember years ago your old chap saying that the sierra's headlights were crap! Didn't he buy new headlights/bulbs etc etc and they weren't much better..
You'll be totally amazed how much difference they make! like Steve has said it's totally different all from £100

HID work well by using a prysm (focussed beam)
standard headlights work off reflection, i,e bulb light is bounced back onto the the reflector unit and then out threw the glass (with pattern)
HID do not use relfection hence all HID cars from OE have clear glass/plastic fronts as they do not need a beam pattern as they are focussed light through the glass projector.
putting HID bulbs in standard headlights means some light is relected and none is focussed hence the blob light after.

I have got a 6000K 55W kit from Hids4u.
The quality of the kit is absolutely excellent. It literally is plug and play and no annoying bulb out warning lights either. The spread of light is excellent and so much better than standard.
They cost the most but you are getting the best
I've got their LED sidelight bulbs as well and they are excellent. The same 6000K colour temperature as the HIDs so they don't look yellow like standard sidelights.
Excellent company to deal with too which makes a nice change
Get some, you won't be disappointed.

only one slight problem..as the hids have there own loom...the blown bulb warning lights are now showing on the dash
As for high beam, I use the H4 telescopic/flexible kits, consists of a single HID bulb that uses an electro magnet to aim the bulb higher when flashing or using high beam, this is the same kit as you have bought. There are a few different types of H4 kits, hi hid low halogen, low halogen high hid, or even some with two hid bulbs one for high one for low. The hi/lo hid uses 4 ballasts and like someone said above are a little tempremental due to flashing them on and off, the way the ballasts work theyre not really designed to do quick flashes on and off.
Im no expert but I have read a little into these, as I'm in the process of building a website to start selling these kits. I'll also have the error kits too .
