I was gonna ask a similar question. In a car that really needs 97 octane fuel will it damage the engine if the car has been sitting? And how long does it take to go off?
Someone once said regarding teh shell optimax that it's produced as over 100 octane or something and is guaranteed to be at least 97 when u pump it. But does that carry on degrading quite quickly in a petrol tank?
