my mate filled up his 3 door this morning then when he drove out of
the petrol station his engine managment light came on. does anyone
know why it would come on?

 

engine sensor out of voltage range

pull up with ign still on/engine running

remove ecu cover

locate the 5 pin multiplug with the rubber cap a few inches down the loom

remove cap

hold the plug so it has 2 pins (holes) either side and 1 in middle at top

bridge the bottom left and bottom right pins with a bit of wire and watch the management light

it flashes in a specific sequence for each error code

My old 3 door used to do this a fair bit.It seemed stu found a reason somthing about the old ecu and getting engine manigment light on , the posts here somewhere.

 

something to do with stage one chips and running more boost than standard isnt it?

 

yes, map sensor out of range.... a good old 1-3 lol
