anyone else got a sony vaio laptop???
only had this laptop 9 months and it looks like its 9 years old 
silvery casing has worn basicly were i rest my thumb and palm of hand etc when typing, worn through to the white in a few places !!! just looks scratched etc, never had another laptop wear out like that?????
can i buy new cases???

Ive my Vaio for over 3 years now (in fact on it now) and it hasnt skipped a beat, and looks almost identical to me mates new one he's just bought! (although mine was a lot dearer back then!!!).
Battery life is shite though, only about 40 mins!!

yh battery life is dreadful, but i keep mine plugged in most the time so its not really an issue for me.
I have a black screen and the keyboard area is a light silver and it hasn't worn at all where i rest my hand by the mouse pad. Only bits that have worn is the mute and volume buttons so now they are see through and the light shows through which happened within a couple of weeks of buying it lol. Havn't had any problems with it at all.
Oh yh, mines a VGN-FE11S

Sounds hte same as mine, mouse buttons are a little worn but all ok, model ive got is VGN-FS115B!

Just a quick question, does anyone else's laptop get really hot sometimes?
It doesn't make any difference how long its been on either, as the time it got really hot it had only been on about half an hour, whereas other times i've been using it solid all day and its normal
Just wondered it was a common thing on Sony one's or Laptop's in general?
