The current GREENSTUFF are bad, they are the V7 formula, the older V4 formula was ace.
Greenstuff is not a good choice for cossie though, as it just is crap, either fit REDSTUFF CERAMIC, or better still YELLOWSTUFF.
I have these(yellows) all round on my 2wd, I know 2wd have vastly superior brakes than a 4wd but still they are ace, work from cold, no noise, little dust, even one of the FEW that are POLICE approved and fitted to loads of police pursuit cars.
Best pad I have ever used for the road, and I have used all the mintex/ferrodo ones, the ds range are a joke IMO.
I gave away sets of pads(ferrodo/mintex) with only 500-1000 miles on them, otherwise they were going in the bin!!

they are only a couple of mm bigger and the 4pots that are on the 2wd's dont actually produce ad much clamping force as the later single pot floating calipers as used on the 4x4's... ![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
the bently continental GT that weights over 2 tonnes has single pot calipers of the same design...

Greenstuff are wrongly advertised I'd say... they're just an equivalent to OE pads, they don't offer any real extra fade resistance.
Redstuff are equivalent to Mintex 1144, and are good.....
Yellowstuff even better, but noticeably poorer response from cold.

I know whats been said above but I have a very old version of greenstuff (car stood for a few years
) and they were / are much better than the OE stuff I pulled out. Only moan I have is that on a icy cold day when they havnt been applied for a while the bite is initially poor but improves very quickly - no such probs in summer.
Dunno if that helps you much though as I dont think you will find / identify 'old' ones
Note it is used as a 'road car' only but under the same driving style I turned my e36 evo brakes (315mm floaters / standard pads) a nice shade of bluey purple with spots all over them
My brother put red stuff in his porker and (again comparing to standard with road use only) he likes them.
Both types give off little dust.
Under advice from Hispec and Mike R I have DS2500 for the rush but cant comment yet ...

From a 'motorway speed' stop under constant pedal pressure you can feel them start to work more as they warm, dunno if thats the norm for greenstuff ?
