so how did they connect the driveshafts?
I can understand not needing an exhaust or water pipes connected but would need fuel and thats not a quick release fitting. gear linkage (unless the gearbox was left in 1st gear), still need a clutch cable

 

Cheating cunts, everything on it was disconnected.

thats what i was thinking.

 

Would be just one shaft on a welded diff
Fuel lines would have been changed for push fit etc, gearbox would have been in first, clutch cable made quick release etc.

Still awesome bit of teamwork though

I'd like to see them do it with a standard engine.

 

The guy underneath that got dragged out at the end lined them up as they dropped the new engine in no spring clips on the shafts.

Exhaust was probably loose fit oversized pipe, no fuel pipe you'd get that distance on a carb full of fuel, starter and earth cables must be quick release connectors, H.T king lead push fit, no nuts on the engine mounts, only leaves the throttle and clutch cables

Define "standard" though.

Id say standard on a mk3 escort these days involves at least a dozen rounded off nuts and a set of helicoils

 

Who Says that engine that went in and out is even a working engine.Maybe it is a rwd converted car so engine is in the rear as seen many times before. Just rear seat passengers get a warm bum on long journey

Watch the last few seconds of the video again where they pull away and when they stop at the other end, the car stops and if you look closely its stops again

 

Me and wenny took an rs turbo engine out in 12 minutes once and we thouth that was quick

also says in video that it should take ford 3hrs to do an engine change thats an even bigger lie
