A4 Convertibles
Anyone know much about them? around 03 plate shape.
Looking now and they are not bad on the money front. Any got opinions what they are like to drive, any prooblems etc?
Supposed to be going for 330d, but just looking at the Audis atm as fancy a convertible for the summer if we get one

'Personally' i'd rather go for an E46 convertible that the A4... the audi's do drive nice dont get me wrong, but you get up to any decent speed and i find the roof a bit flappy!

330d convertible are way out of my price range... as they are still fetching 23k+
Never been in the Audi convert. SO havent a clue what they are like, and seen a 2.5 TDI with good mileage for good price. SO may be tempted to go and look at it tomorrow.
Its just doing ym head in waiting for 330d sport

As a cruiser, its great but suffered from interior wind swirl when the hood was down.
The scuttle shake was prominent when driving over poor road surfaces or booting it.
However, its the only 4 seater convertible i've driven so have nothing else to compare it to.

Rhys I had a '03 A4 2.5 TDI convertible last year for about 3 months, to be honest I quite liked it, was quick and very economical, also the general feel of the car was pretty good, I enjoyed the driving experience, took it on the motorway a few times and it was awesome on fuel and just felt very comfortable at high speed, didnt really get the scuttle shake all seem to be going on about but did suffer a little interior wind swirl, but when the suns out and the roofs down...who cares
Oh by the way my brother has a 330ci convertible at the moment and thats just lovely..did I mention its for sale

My mate has a 3.0L convertible, think it's a 54 plate.
Nice enough car, his is dark grey with 19" RS6 wheels and looks the part.
He does say though that the handling isn't ideal being a cab.. but then again it's a fookin cabrio, you should be posing not setting lap records!
He's got a brand new S4 hard top at the moment and did comment that his cab with the same power would be a recipe for disaster.
He was selling it
