i have a habit of getting hooked on shows, when i see them and want to see the enitre series/all the series. my brothers often buy boxsets so i can cure my addiction and currently i am hooked on battlestar gallactica

after this i have 3 series of the wire to get through too.

what are you currently hooked on or what could you recommend?

 

The wire is dull... gave up. The Shield is FAR better. REALLY REALLY good.

I am currently completely and totally addicted to Entourage!

Never watched it from the beginning as I thought it sounded shit.

Got lent the first two boxsets, and have since downloaded seasons 3 and 4. How wrong was I! Best US programme bar Heroes ever.

CSI Las Vegas is amazing... the others are ok too.

i have seen a couple of episodes on sky but havent got into it

maybe if i start at the beginning it will be better, i know i have series 1 and 2 in my bookcase at home

Shame they cancelled veronica mars too...but after season three i can see why, real shame that

 

The Shield is prob the best series i have watched so far

Got really into 24 and thought it was awesome until i watched Prison Break then i thought it was the best, then i got into The Shield !!!

The Shield is far more realistic than 24 or Prison Break and Vic Mackie is the man

 

Got 3 series of that on DVD and not ever seen one!

 

I love CSI Vegas (and NY too as it happens)

BUT.......why can they never turn the light on instead of using a torch and no matter what the case they check the bed for semen stains


I've just q'd up 4 seasons of Entourage so they will down by the morning

 

If you haven't already seen it. I couldn't recommend Band of Brothers enough. I would rate it as the best thing I have ever watched on the television.

Think I might dig it out tonight and watch it again.

Invasion on ch4 was great but i heard they scrapped it, anyone know anything? i know it was on like a year ago didnt get the viewings it deserved!

 

Im right into Shameless, got the boxset for christmas and the new series is on the telle to, funny as! Spooks is top class, Csi and i really like Nip Tuck.

 

heroes is quality,prison break,hmm first series was good but now it feels like treading water,think i might just watch the last one

It only lasted for 2 series,but may i suggest "The Lakes" by Jimmy Mcgovern. Its sooo well written,the cast is amazing and it is also the role that made John Simm first famous.
Every once in a while i will watch the DVD's again and it still holds up soo well to this day
As already mentioned Life on Mars was great,i can't wait for the follow up(ashes to ashes) to hit our screen later this year

Basically in the states it went up against Lost in the ratings war, and well... Lost, quite a few members of the cast got jobs on 'other' big profile shows, so the Company never comissioned a second series. There was an attempt to try and Get Ch4 to comission the second series, but most the cast members as stated had by that time got roles on other shows.
