Default Hooked

i have a habit of getting hooked on shows, when i see them and want to see the enitre series/all the series. my brothers often buy boxsets so i can cure my addiction and currently i am hooked on battlestar gallactica

after this i have 3 series of the wire to get through too.

what are you currently hooked on or what could you recommend?

The wire is dull... gave up. The Shield is FAR better. REALLY REALLY good.

Entourage
Alias
Weeds

are some not so mainstream ones that are all superb! REALLY good

Some all time classics are the obvious ones that are must sees..

Sopranos
24
Prison Break

I am currently REwatching all of the 7series of 'The West Wing'

STUNNING TELEVISON! Loving it.

I am currently completely and totally addicted to Entourage!

Never watched it from the beginning as I thought it sounded shit.

Got lent the first two boxsets, and have since downloaded seasons 3 and 4. How wrong was I! Best US programme bar Heroes ever.

Ari Gold is my hero!

Got really into 24 and thought it was awesome until i watched Prison Break then i thought it was the best, then i got into The Shield !!!

The Shield is far more realistic than 24 or Prison Break and Vic Mackie is the man

If you haven't already seen it. I couldn't recommend Band of Brothers enough. I would rate it as the best thing I have ever watched on the television.

Think I might dig it out tonight and watch it again.

some good suggestions on here.....seen 95% of them too

anyone with anything a little more obscure, some gems that may have been missed, like ideal, very funny, but not many have seen it as it seems to have only been shown on bbc3

I got all the boxsets now, Watched then all over Xmas & New Year

And now got to wait until March for Season 4

I also got really into CSI when in Mexico, think will buy the boxsets, as i was watching episodes well into the series, so would like to watch from the start.

Lee - House is really quite good, Hugh Laurie is brilliant! The US are currently in a gap in Series 4 Watch it from the start though as you see how the relationships toss and turn in his team

Others included..

Heroes
Lost (Back this month yipeeeeeeeeeeeee)
CSI Vegas

It only lasted for 2 series, but may i suggest "The Lakes" by Jimmy Mcgovern. Its sooo well written, the cast is amazing and it is also the role that made John Simm first famous.
Every once in a while i will watch the DVD's again and it still holds up soo well to this day
As already mentioned Life on Mars was great,i can't wait for the follow up(ashes to ashes) to hit our screen later this year

Basically in the states it went up against Lost in the ratings war, and well... Lost, quite a few members of the cast got jobs on 'other' big profile shows, so the Company never comissioned a second series. There was an attempt to try and Get Ch4 to comission the second series, but most the cast members as stated had by that time got roles on other shows.
