Default ford puma 1.7i timmimg wtf help

hi does any one what i am doing wroung i am working on a ford puma 1.7i i have set the timming with the correct locking tools and followed the manual but it seems that the inlet timmimng all ways goes out it sounds like it want to start and it has fuel spark comprision. turning it over buy hand its fine timmimng is all ways the same but when you crank it over it not in the same place any more any help would be nice

have you deffo got the right pegs.....also if i am correct the front variable cam gets pulled all the way to the rear on its vernier

make sure you have crank set correctly not just at the point where the peg goes in and locks ,cos it can lock in a different place

the VVT fucks up on them meaning when tyou time it up when you turn it fucks 8 valves,,, i got them in stock if you need any as its sort of comon

Did you turn the crankshaft before you put the bottom pulley on and tightened the crank pulley bolt ???

If you did turn it over before doing this you will have just turned the crankshaft as it will move and the belt will stay in same position and not turn the cams !!!! Bottom pulley needs to be put on and tightened before you try to turn the engine over !

all i did was rebuild the head with new 16 valves and he is asking me to ask some one that has done this befor as i havent done one personaly so just wanted to know befor i go down to help
