Silly boy not finishing your qualification for a job in a sports shop!
You have loads of time to buy an RST, i assume your a young guy anyway.
If its not too late just finish the course, its something you will always have, even if you dont use it right away.

cant take it there, pishes me off everyday, hate most of the teachers as there a bunch of arse holes....
ive done two years of it, mechanics level 1 & 2 and was abit like is it for me...but i come across a course "named" motorsport level 3....sounded perfect...
so i joined and started the course and wasnt very pleased at all with what they was teaching me but i thought ok maybe we just go over the basics again but its not...its just like level 1 all over again...
so i spoke the the teacher and said do we actually cover motorsport stuff or just the basics, and he said well sorry!!! but i know uve done level 1 & 2 before but the rest of the class hasnt!
so i said well shudnt they be on level 1 then as thats what i had to start off on and he couldnt give me a straight answer, i mean i was hassled for my college grades etc (level 1 & 2) but why as you dont need to have any to join the course!!!!
but then he said well to be honest the course was named wrong its not actually motorsport! i mean what a fuck up! and off putting to people!
even spoke to some lads who have done the "motorsport level 3" course and on the 2nd motorsport one now and he they said you dont cover nothing motorsport!

Hate to say it mate - but long term if you really want to get anywhere then college IS the first rung of the ladder.
I went through the National College for Motorsport and was all for leaving half way through the first year for most of the reason you listed above but was talked into staying. Best thing i ever did.
Through the college i had interviews at Prodrive and Honda Racing F1.
Got an apprenticeship at Honda Racing F1, moved on to RC Developments and am now working with Stu & Kenny at Motorsport Developments...
Maybe work the summer and get some cash in your pocket and get onto a more motorsport based course in september?

There's a lot of sound advice here. Congrats on the job but finish the course if you can. You may well regret it if in later life if you don't. How long would you have to do to finish it?
