Anyone work for VW's?
Just trying to get quotes fro the cambelt change, and being quoted silly money VW's want £562.83 all in, another garage wanted £350 + vat.

from the quotes your recieving they seem to be very reasonable. I had the cambelt changed on my passat a while ago. The parts alone are close to €400.00. Dont forget you have to replace the water pump at the same time & i'm fairly sure VW would have included it in their quote.

Previously owned a VW Golf VR6, i think i can safely say that vw are in fact one of the most expensive people to goto if you want work done on your car.
I wanted a basic service, they wanted £310. My mate who used to work for them, £20 and a packet of fags. haha.
