Went out with a new client to dinner last night... turns out he is a proper petrol head and has annual ring pass!!!
He told me a story of a shed of a Granada estate flashing his mate out of the way in his new Porsche.
I said thats not a Granada... its a Cortina and I know the car!!
Told him it was Cosworth powered etc etc and he then went on to tell me a story about an Escort Cosworth that did the Gumball and flashed an Enzo out of the way!!!
He told me a story of a shed of a Granada estate flashing his mate out of the way in his new Porsche.
I said thats not a Granada... its a Cortina and I know the car!!
Told him it was Cosworth powered etc etc and he then went on to tell me a story about an Escort Cosworth that did the Gumball and flashed an Enzo out of the way!!!

I love the way the story has turned into us flashing the Enzo out of the way
Still can't be many Escort Cosworths that have made a Lambo Murcielargo dive out of the fast lane and that then 30 secs later sat side by side at 190mph with an Enzo.

I sent him this picture to check if it was the same car as he was sure it was a Granada...
and he sent me this one back saying thats the one but its not looking quite so good now!

took those alloys off and went back to steelies they weren't right for it.
only used them cause they had legal tyres
yeah it has a few more dents now
that second photo was when I tried to get on the ring, wanted them to measure the noise at the rear pea-shooter dummy exhaust
but they of course saw the straight through side-exit and measured it there and wouldn't let us on as it was 106 dB
got on later though

this thing will go round the ring in 9 minutes
that's genuine -not the 'my mate does 8 minutes 50 in a saxo' type bull which is becoming all too prevalent (thanks Jeremy)
be aware this car is grade II listed, so you cannot put a tiled roof on it, must be thatched.
if anyone is thinking of building something similar, let me tell you it will cost a lot more money, but if you wanna buy an uprated axle, prop etc then PM me as if i can sell the unusual bits first then I may break it...
