Help me - Sell the GTiR for a Mi16 Pug ?!?!
Or am I nuts? Or is it the better thing to do now the GTiR is all running sweet, Shall I bail out and get something thats not gonna be as expensive, and probably more fun around a circuit?!
Someone put the idea in my head, and tbh it kinda makes sense! I know how Pugs handle, I've driven a few. Plus it would be cheaper if it breaks...

They are cheap, and as you say cheap to fix, BUT they aren't really an everyday car.
I used to like the stripped out, caged up, loud as fuck drive but nowadays I prefer a bit of comfort lol
depends what you want it for really mate, if you can put up with the noise and stuff then they are FANTASTIC and Ł for Ł mine was still the best car I ever owned

Tough call....
who says the Pugs going to be reliable? don't they have oil starvation problems with those engines?
Pug would certainly be easier on brakes and tyres on circuit and better on fuel...
As I said... tough one.
Realistically though... trackdays are expensive no matter what you do them in. How many can you really afford to do? If the answer is less than 10 a year... then keep the Pulsar I would say. MUCH better road car I reckon.

I'd definately recommend a 205 Mi16 with the cage and the works, but as for that compared to a Pulsar, can't really comment!
I did miss the turbo buzz with the 205, but even without they are very quick on the roads!

sorted 205 will be faster round a track i expect, but imo they both gay wheel drive if you talking "fun".
and a pulsar is deffo more all round useable, seeing is its not just a track car, i expect most its "fun" use is being caned round the streets, chances are straight line stuff.
IMO stick with what you got, fuck the PF 205 bandwagon

I'd say sell the pulsar and try and get an evo6 lol
seem to be a better car on track than both of them, dont seem to go wrong too bad, and the money you spend on;
pulsar gearboxes
or
general bits that fall off a pug, (assuming you dont buy one thats already sorted and track ready)
you can put to running the evo. lol

But a nicely setup gti-r track car would be fun smart IMO. Or when you get another job just buy a dedicated 205 track car as well?

defo a tough call
but i'd not get a Mi16 for trackm as i be scared of pushing it around bends
get a gti-6 205 if you do
but why not track the pulsar???
as above the fuel economy is not that bad on the gti-6
and cheap and easy to play with, unless you go stupid like me

well an mi16 205 will keep up with a stage 3 rwd cossie, theres a vid on youtube of this.
But personally id rather have a 2.0 nova, will break less, probably go quicker and better for tuning!

Well I ragged the SHIT outta the Pulsar coming back up to base, Why did I ever think of the Pug
Once I got the fuelling sorted so it dont surge and some mega stoppers, I reckon I'll love it even more

Big power FWD and me don't go Hence why my S2 was always going to be RWD
If I go FWD, I aint going turbo
Anyway, I think the GTiR is staying, Had a proper long (2 hours!), and good drive earlier
