I remember the car, it was a 16i shell made into an RST, gash interior etc BUT could easily make a lovely car with a bit of attention. Much better base for a project than a rusty shitheap that need a TOTAL rebuild

Weren't they only built 1981-1983?The Year of registration determines the registration mark.
I know of a d reg rsi and indeed an unregistered one that could have a 57 plate!

imo i dont think its ''THAT'' bad, shame its been spoilt but hey its a mk3 theres enough bits when its in the right hands to put it back to its former glory!!

Cheap IMO, as said, would make a good base for a nice car.
Most real S1's on ebay are either massive bucks, rotten and cost a fortune to get right, or as with many - dodgy as fook.
Amazing how badly a car can get treated in the wrong hands, as it did look pretty tidy in the feature. Clear been owned by a tit and ragged to bits with no regard.
The "ringer" red KEV car, now that does look nice, just a pitty whoever built it didn't go down the proper chanels to make sure it was atleast all above board

Was mint condition when in fast ford, minus the grill and the twin zorsts, cos I can remember it, and probably still have the mag somewhere. It might have even been a cover car. Not sure though

Got a rotton s1 and put all the running gear, retrimmed interior etc into a mint 16i shell. the car looked superb in the shoot. id have got rid of the exhausts and the grill and single wiper are easy to sort out. interiors probs a marmite thing. i kinda like it
