Whilst out cheaking my new map an EVO
Decided to have a go
Let me start from the beggining...
About nine months ago i was out in the car and had to stop for something ,
Whilst under the bonnet an old battered rover pulled up and a chubby chap got out and came over,
He preceeded to tell me about my car
Yeah seen it in the local paper
supposed to be 500 hp
couldnt touch an evo though could it etc etc
I THOUGHT to my self What a prize COCK,
Then he decides to tell me about the evo hes got
Just having a 420 hp engine in it this that and all the bells
I said great yeah and thought what a COCK
He then starting telling me his evo would eat this old crock for breakfast,
And i thought to my self what a COCK
Well i said i have to go as i have to take my granny shopping
He got in his rover and squealed away COCK
Well last week i went up to Karls in my old crock and Karl wrote me a map on the rough figures i gave him,
He told me to go and check it out but being late i had to get back to Cov to pick the missus up from work so i just cruised back,
Well tonight i went out on the old test and mapping track which i know QUITE well
Went up and down a few times one island to the other
Different boost levels 0 psi, .5, 1 bar 1.5 bar
AFR was spot on but just leaning of at the very top end
I pulled off the island to write down the figures ,
On turning around and comming down to the island an Evo was comming on to the island from my right
He then slowed down and flashed me out
Well i obliged and proceded to drive up the road and he accelerated along side,
His mate pointed at me and then pointed forward
He dropped a cog and started to pull away
I dropped a cog and proceded to accelerate up behind him ( which i wish i hadnt more on that later )
At an indicated 140 he pulled over and i went past and accelerated to 160+
I was monitoring the afr all through this
We did this off and on for a few miles quite quick around some islands
Basicaly i smoked the Evo,
Looked in my mirror miles back
Slowed down and he came along side and said pull up
So we pulled into the next available place
He got out and it was the Cock from nine months ago
He was gob smacked and even his mate said to him your shaken up aint ya
He could not comprehend that the old crock had just wiped the floor with him,
The best bit about it is his mate workes for Subaru and a while back has Taken Karl out in a P1
Apparently Karl said it goes around corners all right but it aint fast enough for me
Karl then took him out in his 3 door and he was gob smacked
He then said he wanted me to race his mate whose got this that and the other
I shook his hand which was still shaking and said goooodby
On arriving home i wish i hdnt got so close to the back of his car
2 busted spot lights and the spoiler and wing which i had jus repainted chipped to bollox
Ohh well it was worth it
I hope they frequent this board

ahhhh, cheers for the pic mate, i couldnt remember what they looked like.
I think its wicked that a old looking car like that (no offence to the car) can shake off things like the evo tonight. Thats absolutely priceless, nice one mate

OLD LOOKING- It IS old... its an old crock of shit....
But I'm with Martin it is quite simply the best cossie engined car in the world as far as I am concerned it just ticks all the boxes... apart from the sleeper one- cuz it aint exactly a sleeper is it!

I did a test with a friend in a WRX STI to prove a point from 30mph him in second gear me in third, and I still out dragged him only just by about 25 feet at 60/70 mph, and mine is only stage one 288, "old cossie" as he calls it, though he did concede defeat graciously.
