205 GTi Question
Can anyone settle an argument for me. Are the lights below the front bumper on a 205 GTi fog lights or driving lights? Its a 1600 if that makes any difference, F reg.

If they only come on with main beam and they have clear lenses, they are Driving lights.
If they can be switched on and off separately with side lights on and they have diffused lenses they are Fogs.
You can't see to drive in fog on main beam or with spots with clear lenses.
GTi lamps used to be impossible to find second hand and usable.
It used to be that anything below the bumper was classed as a fog light but the law has changed over the years and fogs can be mounted up to 1200mm above the ground.

thats every 205 gti in the land failed their MOT then. as their 'fog' lights
dont come on then! infact there isnt even a switch for them
