Default Brake Guru's a bit of advice.

Right ho...

I have just got myself a Leon Cupra- not the R.. so I want to get some Brembo brakes on the front.

I can buy some Alfa GTV Brembo 4 pot calipers for about £200.

How easy would it be to get some brackets made up- or carriers or what ever they're called to fit them to the car?

How would I then go about working out what disc size to put on the car?
( I wanted to fit the Standard cupra R discs to the car)

Or would I be better just to buy the kit from Brembo which is a grand?

Are the Seat Brembo calipers not a direct bolt-on fit?

If so, surely even if they are a tad more expensive (wont be alot), then thats money well spent?

As above, just use the original Seat Brembo's... They do come up on ebay every now and then.

the standard discs are 323mm on the Cupra R.

IIRC, there are brackets that need to be with the Brembo's to fit.

Thats the problem Martin- they come up now and again.

There are 3 sets of the Alfa GTV V6 ones which look identical on ebay now for £200.
