Anyone know about Golf Gti turbos ??
Ive been asked to dispose of a really nice Mk1 Golf GTI with a turbo and really need to have any info on these things , its in such good condition that im not quite sure where to sell it , has a Zender kit and leather interior too ! must be a collectors car i reckon by now .

Maybe dispose wasn't the right word , you took it too literally !I dont want the car , i have enough of my own , but while i was at the chaps workshop he asked me to sell off 2 other cars , a mint Mk1 Escort twin Cam rally car , a BTCC Honda and this Golf , the rest i can place easily but the golf has left me a bit stumped .

Edition 38 and Pistonheads I reckon.
Esp E38, home of the hardcore Golf Bummer.
Looks like a proper old skool turbo conversion too, any chance of better pics of the engine?
Is it non-intercooled?
For a sec I thought the turbo was blowing through the metering head, but maybe not, hard to tell, lol.

Is it an original turbo technics car? if so it will have a plate on the slam panel saying it is.
Can you put up more of a spec for me, or by pm if you wish and i'll get you a ball park figure. let me know how the shell is to as that will affect the price as mk1's like to rott in certain places.

Looks like it could be a turbo Technics one??
As already said E38 would be a good start or Clubgti to find out more about its history.
I wouldn't even like to ball park that car it as its so unusual

seems clean and rot free everywhere, thats why its so unusual i guess .

It would have a turbo technics plaque on the slam if it was one.
No rott on A pillars/ near front wipers/ arches under the kit (if you can feel under it, i'm not sure)
