there's been NO loss m8 apart from the husband's on his way for what ever reason(and IF he's staying that's emotional blackmail) and ISN'T the answer to the problems!

Hey Alex............one of my mates from school hung himself last year....was always the joker of us lot and one day we got told his mum found him......not a nice thing to go through.

at least she hasnt done it yet and it maybe a cry for help..just make sure your a good mate and there to give her the help or shoulder she seems to desperately need

Friends and family are the best people to help but alot of the time people cant open up to them, they bottle there emotions up which makes matters worse.

I have long talks to my phsychiatrist about various things when im stressed and it helps sooooooo much, its just the same with any problem, talking about it gets it out your system.

not nice, i think it always seems to happen more at this time of year though, a lad in my year at school hung himself on christmas eve as he crashed his parents car with no insurance

id hate to be so low you see no way out

though half of the time its a cry for help not an actual want to die

ok, you can bl;ame their hormones for sending them doolallytwat, but they lame them for everyting that goes wrong with their lives

perhaps she was seeking atention, perhaps she thought that by doing this he would come abck to her and nurse her back to helth and they could rekindle their romance again

but whatever she thought, perhaps he left her because she was a bit friutloopy in the first place?

hope she didn't harm herself too much in anycase, no matter who they are, you shouldn't be wishing pian and suffering on peole who are a bit fragile in the head

Alex, wasnt intended as a "snipe", apologies if it came across that way but it was only meant to lighten the mood.

As you hadnt mentioned at that point she was in a coma and hence it sounded like the usual trivial "i slightly grazed my wrists and now im telling everyone about it" for attention that it normally is when people claim to have tried to kill themself.

If she ended up in a coma, then everyone posting in this thread so far about it being for attention possibly has it wrong, it could just be a very deep depression making her really want to die, not just pretend to like most "suicide attempts" do.

As Gareth said, all the best, especially at this time of year and fingers crossed she pulls out of the coma and hasnt suffered any lasting brain damage (coma is the bodies way of protecting the brain from a dangerous trauma of some sort)

Im sure she will be greatful to have you around, as I know you are the sort of friend who can be counted on
