Its a black 6 Davie.

Think it made 640 on V power so will be a better match on the orad as I doubt he will run VP Import all the time.

What gearbox and diffs is he running?

"Could be" the shortest ever race .

AYC diff / standard 'box will soon shit itself with that power .

Plus transmission losses !

So 640 on dyno, so around the 600 mark in the car minus around 100hp for the wheel figure = 500hp @ the wheels

Gonna be really REALLY close ! You can do it boy

A friend round our way has an EVO VIII wit a GT30 ND engine running jus over 500hp. Goes really well ! Not quite Cossie quick, but still quick !

Let us know how you get on !

You are certainly going to get wanked all over everywhere but a dual carriageway (ie all the places it actually counts in most people's opinion)

Should be close on the straight stuff though.

Get some gas on your car!

Lose 40bhp from having PAS and Alternator hooked up, and then nearly 75000watts of heat lost in the transmission?

In the real world something tells me PAS and Alt will take up less than 10bhp, and considering even the biggest portable gas/diesel space heaters give out less than 50000watts of heat per HOUR each, overall losses are far far less.

As for how the cars will go I think it will be quite close on our private test track which happens to suit a cossie quite well.

Mike Im sure it has the RS diffs and carbon prop etc..

Supposedly it was dyno' with exhust in place so it might not loose that much when dropped into the car..

The "snow plough" front looks awful from that angle, stunning car other than that though.

Front looks aggressive as fuck, although that intercooler doesnt look upto doing the numbers that the engine did on the dyno?

I think you need to read it again then

What you said is the equivalent of saying a car moves at

50MPH per HOUR

And then using the fact a taxi charges based on speed and time to explain where you got the unit from

it's not just the parasitic losses of the ancilliaries that makes the difference between power made on an engine dyno and in car - it's mostly down to any differences in induction and exhaust systems and intercooling (some of these points have been talked about already )

and the transmission losses are not just what is lost through heat in the gearbox and diffs like you are simplifying it to. there is also noise from those, and noise and heat generated at the tyre/road interface

still unlikely to be 100hp though

Chip ...those pics are old, everything has been upgraded as a pack age ND and it should be back in the car by now

Will be interesting to see what this runs ATW at AVA as the most po it booked in for a powerful evo they have seen ran 430 ATW and was supposed to be over 600 horsepower.
