I don't think they are, there was a twin engine orange R5 at Trax one year that did the fastest 0-60 time but it went home on the back of a trailer, I'm sure the bloke said it was cos it wasn't road legal. I don't think the car was the official time holder on the day cos of this either

Far as I can understand, they ARE road legal if pass all normal MOT regs, inc mechanical handbrake, etc etc etc.

No reason for them not to be.

You can use them if there mot'd but you can only run of the engines from what ive been told.

Lots of other factor's could have made it non-road legal, slicks being one of them most likely!
