Decent Pants Waterproof preferably Gortex trousers aswell!
Decent Gloves although I prefer Mits.
Safety equipment wrist guards, back protector, helmet....

IMO forget buying a board boots and bindings initaly and buy yourself good kit. The quality of boards available for hire abroad is high, and you dont need to worry about trashing them when you crash into other boarders skiiers etc.

What time of year are you going, as this will have an impact on what layers you need for underneath?

Andora is a good choice for your 1st Boarding trip, am sure you'll have a cracking time.

Ok a lots down to taste but I'll Give you an idea.

Looking at the prices of stuff at the moment you will be able to pick up some last seasons stuff before new stocks come in.

http://www.boardwise.com/estorepro/s...oductid=058024
This type of Jacket will be padded and will require less layers, but it aint as waterproof.

http://www.boardwise.com/estorepro/s...oductid=143420
This Jacket is better interms of its light, but will require aditional layers.

Pants like theese will sufice, but you will be lucky to see a couple of seasons out of them, due to there lower resistance to water........that a similar pair that are gortex. You will be spending a lot of time on your But!

You'll find loads of info here.... http://www.snowboardclub.co.uk/

Any other questions dont hesitate to ask!

As B8 says, check out some websites like boardwise.com and http://www.snowboardclub.co.uk/ and try and find a good ski/board shop near you. Some shops will hire you out all the clothes you need at a good price, and its generally good kit too. Hire board and boots when you get there.

Theres so much choice with boarding gear and it can work out so expensive that its really a good idea to get some face to face advice with someone who knows what they are talking about.

Heres a pic of me in Switzerland this year to whet your appetite.

Enjoy the hols!

Ive been to both Pas de la Casa & Soldeu both excelent for boarding/nightlife and value for money in comparison with the rest of Europe.

Make sure and take extra cash for Duty free goods, Car stereos are nice and cheap and you could literaly pay the entire cost of your holiday by buying a few out there and selling on your return to the UK.

Ski show is on this weekend at Olympia. I'm gonna get myself a new pair of boots this year...........

golden rule - waterproof gloves and salopettes. Wet - shit holiday. Decent goggles that are anti glare. Shades are OK if but you get proper sunshine or whiteout they're fucking useless. Mad hat - essential. Sun block on a stick. saves getting nose and lips burnt.

Plenty of money cos the apres ski is superb !!!!!

Ski'er Boarder rivalry innit? Had a few encounters with those strange dudes that insist on holding poles myself.

The worst has to be them diss'in your board by dragging there ski's over it whilst que'ing.

Am sure we could start a whole new topic on the subject!
