It was sitting in a Bristol Ford dealer the other week - Autocar also borrowed it for the E30 M3/Merc 190 2.5-16 comparison back at the beginning of the year ...it's seen more magazines than a dentist's waiting room

I'm not sure why they would find a 200bhp Sierra dull when they liked the 200bhp E30 M3 so much in the recent M-car issue - were all the press Cossies at launch "tuned" - sheer performance they could hold their heads high with the Merc 190 2.5-16s and M3s.
A bit more unruly at the limit than the Merc and BMW but still good fun. It's only 20 years later they are considered dull by the majority of people used to 250bhp shopping hatches.
When they came out in the late 80s they were considered rapid
You've also got to remember that the author of that article says he had his "best ever drive" in a 106XSi on a mountain road in France. He's also driven a few Ruf Porsches......
