Default would you grass him up??

A friend of the guy I work with has just been banned for drink driving.

stupid bastard is just going to buy a small van and keep on driving about.

no licence, no insurance, nothing.

recons a small van won't get a pull by the police, cocky little fucker.

the question -

Would you grass him up???

every1 says summat like that...but tbh i agree with Dave.

I have a mate who i know drink drives at the weekends....but i still couldn't grass him up.

Depends what sort of person you are really, i can consider it from all viewpoints...but couldn't and wouldn't do it myself.

I'd have no sympathy whatsoever if he got caught though, which i'm sure he will.

Drink driver nearly killed my missis once, I have no sympathy.
If no insurance, then wouldnt it be a shame if his car was "suddenly" undriveable!

maybe he would maybe he wouldnt,, but im with him on that

the thing i WOULD say is tell him that driving on a ban is 6months inside,, its criminal and gonna be embarresing telling future employers that not only has he been done for DD hes also been done for driving whilst DQ

i cant think of a worse thing to be banged up for IMO

but no grassing aint the thing to do,, not worth the hassle considering everyone breaks the law at some point

Tricky one you've got there.

I had the same problem with an ex's Dad - mega drink driver. Did my head in. They lived in the country, so he only had to drive down crappy lanes late at night, so never hit anyone, but did bend his car a few times

I mentioned the problem to a friend in the local Police force and he waited outside the pub and "caught" him in the act of drink driving. Did the breathalizer thing, took all his details, and gave him all the spiel about bans, fines, points etc. Properly scared him basically.

Naturally he stewed for months wondering when the Court details would come through. I'm not with her anymore so I've no idea how he is now....

It kind of worked for a while but I'm not sure if the same thing would work for your mate if he is that cocky?

Do you know any friendly Police? Worth a try as long as they don't actually follow it up, unless you want them to?

Messy one!

I failed his last car on the MOT on several items including the rear suspension with no travel - he'd lowered it loads.

he said 'fine, i'll do everything except raise the rear as it looks cool'

my arguement of - 'you put your child in that car, it's not safe' was shunned aside with

'I know it's safe! nothing wrong with that'

Like he's an expert!

I don't tell him how to do his job, jumped up little twat....

so if this person was someone who maimed your kids, and turned out not to have insurance and was driving drunk, completely ruining your kids life and leaving you financially unable to look after them properly. would you still call a person who could have got this tw@t off the road and prevented that a "snitch"?? I think not.

Can't see why you wouldn't grass?
If he does crash into someone, think of the grief they'll no doubt go through as a result.
Would he drive off or what?
One thing to say grassing is low, but it'[s the right thing to do, and driving like he is is much lower.

btw,,,, driving with a cold is JUST as dangerous as drink driving if your just over the limit

wonder how many people would get a cab to work cause they was ill but needed to get money to pay for morgage,,,,, or would drive a car a little tired

think we ALL make bad choices in life when judged by another person

my old man used to drink and drive back in the 60's/70's yet tells me that speeding kills ect

he says this cause HES not comfortable driving fast so it must be dangerous

ive known people to drive home WRECKED at 4am against my wishes and they aint ever had a crash,,, wonder how many cossie owners can say the same

Someone who is " a bit over the limit" is by definition, someone who gets pissed up and drives.. , its already been pointed out that he knew what he was doing.

My Uncle used to drink drive all the time untill he drove into a skip full of rubble and almost ended himself lol

I'm sure he'll get what's coming to him, but I don't think you should be the one to make that call.

You're choice. You seem to have very mixed replies here.

I'm not saying a banned driver is a bad driver. My mates been banned (he isn't anymore) and he is one of the best drivers I know.

But a pissed driver is a bad driver.... I know as I was involved in an RTA with a pissed up cunt. I was okay thankfully - same can't be said for the poor guy he killed in the car he hit head on tho

i see what your saying but its all ifs and buts, any arsehole on the road could knock someone down close to you,if this person isnt doing any direct harm to yourself why feel the need??

all the snitches in my old street,as soon as a car went out of tax they were on the phone to police,if the dog was out on the grass, theyre at the window with binoculars to see if hes going to shit

do you really want to be associated with the likes of these people who havent got enough in their own life they have to interfere with everyone elses????????
