Our car is dead! (please help as we need shopping!)
As in electrics! only bought a new battery for the bmw just a month ago, stepdad went to start it & go to work in the morning but turn of the key.. there was nothing, only used it the other day
I took the battery out & the lil indicator says its flat! & in the battery bay theres quite abit of water
FS nothings easy

sounds like you need to return the battery there, even if wet it should not go flat, but was the flat battery a problem before that was only cured by buying another flat battery not checking the charge feed

Yep has happened before abit before summer it was total dead so charged it then about 2-3 weeks later.. DEAD so charged it & we kept continuing that role
Then we finally bought a new battery since & its been ok uptil now
Im just going to source a alternator change that then check the charge feed (thanks mk2rstaff) didnt think of that at the time & recharge or jump it with leads, i cant find any cracks or any reason why the battery has leaked you can hear the water inside it sloshing about & it says on the battery never needs to be topped up with water which is damn right because i went to check & i cant get the caps off to have a look inside
Then we finally bought a new battery since & its been ok uptil now

i would never put water in anyhow mate, or a last ditch resort some distilled water, but you need an alkaline solution to top them up, but as you seen most now are sealed units

Just a lil update my stepdads just told me the last 2 times he used the bm when he turned it off & took the keys out of ignition it beeped afew times like it was an import with the door open, but it has never done that before
Any clues? sorry to be a feckin pain in the ass people
