Default which diff for a 2wd ??

hi.. ive broke the diff in my 2wd cos and put a welded one in but its shit to drive now so think im gonna have to pay for a proper one rather than buy more second hand ones.. ive seen the quaife and gripper ones but are their any others i should consider and which do most people recomend.. dont want to spend 2k on a 9 inch one tho.. thanks for any help..

ive had a quote from marco on here but was just wondering if its worth the extra few quid for either a quaife or a gripper.. im sure i could get away with another std one as i dont really use the car hard but dont really want to chance it... im going to have the car mapped in the new year and cant leave it with someone with the welded diff in as its a total pig.... so going to need to sort one before then.. cheers

u don't really use the car hard but broke the diff it was the wife was it lol

Quaife on mine and it seems absolutley fine with 450bhp..

it was the original one that had done about a million miles.. slowly pulling out of a junction heard a bit of a bang but it still drove a little on the flat then when i had a look something had smashed out of the rear of the casing... took the back off and the planet gears all fell out.. it does get driven a little bit rough sometimes i guess..

8.8" from a lincoln mkVIII just need to mod the beam and get some prop/driveshaft adaptors for it to fit

Jasesapphy had a Quaife with around 330bhp, he aint now! Think it was his CWP that went to be fair though, is yours uprated Pete?
