kazaa lite was better until u had to pay for it,

but by far the best so far IMP is suprnova.org (yes it is spelt correctly) BUT U NEED THE BIT TORRENT SOFTWARE TO DOWNLOAD FROM IT, THIS IS ALSO FREELY AVAILABLE

i use WinMX

 

its a program which allows the downloading of the files from suprnova and othe sites , from multiple hosts at the same time and allows the downloads to be continued at a later date if not finished in one go, ido a search for it, its free.

U dont have to pay for it mate, ur looking in the wrong places These sites that charge you for kazaa lite are scammers. KL is free and always will be

Win MX is good for mp3's, Kazaa's gone a bit cack lately since you have to pay for it, most things are either remotely queued or looking for more sources, suprnova is a bit resource happy

 

Personally, I've always used IRC (Internet relay chat).
there are servers/channels with 'bots running xdcc scripts.. for that.. i used a piece of software called "xdcc catcher"

I also use phazenet for mp3's and use "autoget", a script for mIRC which is pretty cool.

I've got different servers on my network doing different things.. but also.. a very untapped resource are newsgroups... not for the faint hearted.. but good once you get the hang of things

Disclaimer: Of course... all mp3's downloaded are always removed from my servers within 24 hours (as per the legal requirement) and all films are actually trailers in which I evaluate the film and decide wether to go and see it at the cinema or not

 

imo all shareware is full of corrupt files..blag films and fookin loads of spyware...THE only exception ive found is direct connect but you need a certain amount of files before it will let you on

sahreazza is good, anybody who uses any torrent collector type progs should be virus checking anything they rip anyway

kazzaa is full of nasty things so only ever use the lite version

DC++ & IRC are a bit of a minefield for the 1st time user imo

I use Shareaza for downloading Music/Movies and Programs.

I have just installed Azureus, which asked me to also install Java, which I did. What now??
