Awsome development and would of been crazy if they did finnish it and made it able to rev high enought to fully use all the power.

its just a very clever setup.

TBH though its incredibly difficult to take full advantage of staged turbos in a petrol engine though, but on Diesels you can stage 2 and even 3 and get yourself 250psi boost

What would be the point on a Cossie engine ?

Serious amount of work there, amazing how its all squeezed in !!!

I recently seen a dynograph, of a Cossie engine, somewhere from Southern Europe.
The guy wont give me anymore info though.
2.0 Cossie engine made circa 1400bhp on a Dynapack. Custom single turbo, 72psi boost !!!

It was a little laggy though.

Think the whole idea was to make a big power but realy drivable car, T38 low down T88 higher up.

Wouldnt 2 small turbos, that then work in conjunction with each other be better, and perhaps easier to package ?
Im sure I seen a twin setup in mags years ago. In a typical sequential style.

First turbo runs all time, then switching to both turbos.

Although any such system is going to be difficult. I wonder how the one featured here did actually perform...both at the low end, and top end.

Dont think it was ever fully finnished Stevie but i know it was working well and still making power but it was then needing more revs. It ended up bending the crank but was a torque monster.

the set up could supply 120 psi

The big turbo was a 1200hp turbo i think.

Although I was never in the car myself I have spoken to the two people who did drive it and they both said it felt like a t38 car with 600 bhp, no lag, turbo shufling etc etc.

This was really just the first incarnation of the set up with lots more potential.

Maybe see it one day

Has been spoken about a good few times Rad but it really requires the car to be completly modded, front chopped off, engined moved etc.

Would be better just using the flint shell as Im sure its kicking about somewhere too

Ill need to bug Alan and see if he could re build it for next years daddy thrash

Id imagine it would be similar to mine but with about 150 bhp more ATW
