Keep an eye on the free ads papers - there's usually lots of it around and much cheaper than new, and it doesn't really deteriorate.

find out which scrap man has your local MOD disposal contract,the one in our area has tons and tons of the stuff and its all mint,as said above,it tends to not deteriate,i also scrapped about 1 tonne of it recently as had to much,i got 3 tonnes of it for £200 about 4 years ago,so its cheap if you can find any local.
