FAO game console ppl
hi, im looking into buying a new console to upgrade from my ps2, what do you lot recommend between xbox 360 and ps3?

Id recommend a ps3, but i would, thats what ive got, had a few 360's, they all broke, but that said, there a really good console, and i know people who have no probs with the 360 at all. you got a lot more game selection with a 360, but there is a lot of good games out for the ps3 now aswell

You may think 360 looks cheaper but it isnt, by the time you add on the HD player thing thats another £150, PS3 has it built in already

Only posting so you check my sig out haha.
Not into consoles but bought a ps3 for some random reason, well all the threads on here haha and was really impressed with it, just a shame i can never get into them like a lot of people, hence mine being for sale.
Whenever you hear this question you get a 50/50 mix, mostly by people owning the console and backing there choice. Never owned a 360 but now of a good few with problems etc.
I really don't think you will be dissapointed by either games wise, going on what people say about the 360.

dont bother with ps3 get the 360 elite
xbox are the console to have nowadays for online playing
more popular, many more sold and more people playing online

Ps3 - £300 Comes with blu-ray player, bluetooth and wireless out the box. Ive played 4 games since I brought it and completed 2 of them cause I liked them that much.
XB360 - £300 HD Player - £130.00. Wireless Network adapter - £60.00. Has alot of games available, but Ive not actually found many good ones.
My Wii is on EBAY cause Ive used it for 15mins since buying it.
My XB360 has been sitting in the cupboard for 2 weeks and has not been used for 3months. Ps3 is being used everyday to watch DVD's or play games
It all depends on what ya want from the console. Games console only go for XB360. DVD upscalling and good games console go for PS3.

Just to point out i'm not some serious gamer freak and i only like driving games anyway, I love the ps2 and tbh itys only the availability of games thats making me want to change it, It would literally be a games console no online gaming i don't think bit technical for me LOL

The 360 hd-dvd
Get an elite with the hd-dvd drive and it's about the same price as the ps3 (the proper one with 120g hd.)
For the next year or so the 360 will have more game's no doubt's about that and the online is soooo much better.
Yes you do pay for it but it's worth every penny.
And once you get it you will play online i would be lost without xbox live.
Sony had to drop the price and a lot of the trick bit's to sell them. Which say's a lot to me.

sony were the daddies but theyre now third on the pecking order.id be surprised if sony bothered making another console after the massive losses theyve suffered with the ps3 whilest the xbox 720 is already in development
