Default going on from the wheels thread

any reason why you can just get a pressed steel rim made for a certain dimension?

what would go wrong other than it might be a bit heavier and not bling?

I never saw the original thread, but to answer what I think youre asking, nothing in principle, it would be fine. Steel wheels are often lighter than conventional oe alloys anyway, they just flex more and dont offer decent brake cooling afaik

but my arches will only take a 7 inch wide rim without mods

and yes, i've tried a 7.5 rim and it's not going
