Default Car Battery life with a Clifford

Hi Guys and Gals,

A quick question for anyone that leaves there car parked up with a Clifford alarm on it for any length of time. How long have you left it and the car has still started when you get back to it. I think the one on my BM is a concept 300 if that makes a difference.

Do you reckon the car battery would still start the car after 4 weeks??

Bloody meetings, looks like i may have to suffer California sunshine for another 2 weeks!!!! Which will mean my car will have been in the long stay at the airport for 4 weeks.

Can we have a whip round for the bloody parking bill when I get back to it.

Sean, i had a concept 600 on my sapp and if i never started it within a week, the alarm would go off on its own randomly (but mainly at night)

Clifford recommened to me to start it within 12 days of this can usally happen, then flatteninfg the battery totally within 16days

If you can get the keys to me, i could take it home or take it for a run if you like

Cheers Guys.

Tony it doesn't look like I am going to be back in the UK until Sunday 24th.

Haven't heard back from the car park folks yet, but I'm sure they will be able to help me out.

Dont know if they are duff batteries but I think my clifford has killed two of them in 6 months.....the first battery wouldnt hold charge after 2 months, the second had a whole in it at the bottom after 3 months!!! The acid corroded away at my fuel line, nice!

Concept 600 BTW

they all have on-site RAC/AA people. So they'll be with you in a few minutes.

I know Stanstead 100% does as i've seen them there.

My car used to be fine if left for up to about 6 weeks with a Concept 600, if you've got a good battery you should be fine.

Ian , thats encouraging. The battery in the boot of my BM is massive and has never given me any trouble before, so fingers crossed it will be OK.

How's the weather in the UK, it is bloody mentally hot here. Driving back down to LA today, top down, shades on, wind in my hair

Yep you should be okay but I just remembered.........the Concept 600 goes into battery saving mode after a certain period of time (although still armed) but I don't know if the 300 does?

Do you know what, I did feel a bit of a chill late yesterday afternoon on the golf course. But then I realised that the beer cart had just been round and it was actually the ice cool bud I was supping on!!! LOL.

i had the intellistart on my concept 600 on my evo 6, this allowed remote startong from the fob possible and it would monitor battery voltage and outside temp conditions, you could enable it to start the car IF(OR BOTH) it started to go flat or was below (say -10 dgc) outside. proper bo bit of kit
