Severed 2 tendons in my hand last week at work.
Had an operation on wednesday and am now in a cast.

Been told i can,t work for 6 weeks and can,t drive for 2 months.



Any suggestions as to what the fuck i do for this lengh of time.??????

P.S: I only have the use of 1 hand.

Money is not a problem as i have somey tucked away for a rainy day.

I know how you feel!
I cut my ulnar artery and damaged 2 tendons in 2005.
Had a cast on for 6 weeks, only time it came off was for physio.
I watched tv and went on the net when I was off, and my wife dealt with my newborn.
hope you still have finger movement, if not it will come back through time. I felt that my fingers would stay in one place forever, but after perserverance at physio it all came back

i was off work for 9 months and they said i could not drive for 3 months

after someone tried cutting off my fingers with an axe

i was that bored i fitted a lowering kit on my car a week after the op

 

Can,t get to work(no driving for 2 months.)
Boss did suggest this then found out i can,t write with my left hand

 

Movements coming back slowly,start physio on thursday and have been told if i,m good and keep up physio i will be back to 100% by christmas.

i was off a few years back after having an opperation, in totla i was off work for about 7 weeks,you will be amazed how you get used to the time off,unfortunately you will also be pissed off when you have to go back aswell.

 

Am now in a routine.
