I would say the best place to put the cam cover gasket is between the cam cover and the head, then put the bolts through the holes to tighten it down.

i find ggr are the cheapest in uk for rocker gaskets at Ł12 for a gen 1

where as theyre around Ł30 from woodford i think

really quick delivery from ggr aswell
