I agree with you on the reasons why it wont ever happen, but the "eggs" that are going to be broken, IMHO is someone (probably from this forum) will die at brunters.

There isnt a safer venue available in the UK sadly.
"off road" roads of 2 miles or more dont really exist, well not that are available to the public cheaply.

Well done Martin, for achieving what you wanted to achieve. Always followed your cars with interest, look forward to seeing what sort of times this can achieve!
As for the top speeds, dangerous yes, but a lot of respect for those that go out there and do it, pushing the boundaries like that. I don't think I could do it, but well done for having the balls to risk it all!

I went to TOTB this year at Elvington Airfield and there was a few cars doing top speed runs and a iirc a dodge viper done 200mph
was a good day
do you know how long Elvington is, is ter surface there a lot better than brunters, does anyone know how much that is to hire out, if it is safer would it not be a better venue?

Its a similar length and surface to brunters, but they do top speed runs over a mile distance instead, like you just took the piss out of me for suggesting

standing mile is a far more common thing that gives a lot more to compare to.
