I am in the process of buying a new bag and fancy a backpack this time as carrying my Tamrac round this year has proved to be a bit of a chore really as its pretty dman heavy now.
I Carry.
EOS 30D
Canon 17-70 F2.8IS
Canon 70 - 200 F4 L
Canon 100 - 300mm F2.8 - F4.5 IS
Canon 430EX Flash
Canon F1.8 Nifty 50mm
Canon 1.4x Extender.
Canon 2.0x Extender.
And all the other bollox we carry such as compact flash, batteries & filters etc.
What do YOU carry and what do you carry it IN?

I have:
Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ18
Spare memory Card
USB cable
brush thing for the lens
half a packet of lockets
a weird stain
I only take pictures of women walking past where I work though, so didn't bother with an SLR.
There's no shame in that, I use one all the time. But only Fendi.

A fucking monster Tamrac backpack, two random backpacks, a couple of small over the shoulder bags, a big box and a custom bag for lighting gear, but the handiest bit of all is combat trousers with huge pockets to quickly stick filters and lens caps, remotes in etc during shooting!

Hi Stu,
I have:
Nikon D200 with extra battgrip
1.4 and 1.7 nikon converter
12-24 AT-X f4
18-70 AF-S f3.5-4.5
35-70 AF-D f2.8
70-200 AF-S VR f2.8
3 flashes, 1 SB800, 2 SB600
cable remote
Manfrotto tripod and monopod
I've got 2 bags.
A lowepro slingshot 200 AW and a Lowepro Minitrekker AW.
I use the slingshot whenever I need to travel light , so choices have to be made which stuff goes in. Most of the time the wide angle en telezoom lens with body. External flash fits also inthere.
The minitrekker is also for walking around , but can't decide what to be left at home. 1 Body , external flash and 3 lenses along with 1.7 converter, raincovers cleaning stuff and so on fits in easily and the tripod can be fitted on the outside also.
If I'm on a assignment there's a few B&W outdoorcases that can come along too in the car with the minitrekker.
Grtz

Took a D80 with kit lens, cubelite, SB800 and battery charger. Fitted it all in a standard hand luggage bag.
Ideally I take at least one light weight tripod and a small laptop. I've recently got a light stand to flash umbrella mount and light weight umbrella.
I dunno it's tough really, you could end up lugging so much arround.

Ok, A guided tour.
In the lid, we have space for all sorts of things, but cleverly, they have put the flash compartment in the center so when closed, it packs out the central lens space. Nice. That compartment houses my 430EX.
The front of the pack, once closed up is split into 2 sections. Each side houses memory cards, batteries, etc etc. Behind these flaps is a middle section, specifically designed and padded to carry your laptop.
Looks tidy once all closed up, with its waterproof zips etc and of course fully padded and comfortable arm and waist straps, complete with full closure buckle sets, just in case. lol.
It even comes with a detachable tripod holster, in case you find you actually could carry even more weight on your back.
And finally, it has it own built in rough weather shield, just in case things get rough.
And here she is, sat next to my biggest snap on Mug. Just to give you an idea of size.
If i am honest though, i actually chose this one as its designed to be JUST under all the major airlines hand luggage sizes for international flights, so it will come into its own when i go to Africe on Safari.

will be the new year, need a bit of time to get some hours in, and some ££ as the Escos is destroying my bank account at the moment - But Blackpool would be great from the air, and I'm sure there are lots of interesting places to go as well
