I know it sounded like a smart ass comment but i was serious.... I am actually a great sleeper but anytime i cant i try to imagine myself in a big black room with nothing in it and try to forget about everything else.

i can sleep through anything. literally 30 seconds-1 minute after my head hits the pillow im asleep, even after narcotics

peoples problems with sleeping are due to you thinking and worrying too much about actually getting to sleep.

lie down...couple of long slow breaths, tuck yourself in and drift off

i ache a lot and toss and turn a lot.

mostly toss.

erm,,, everywhere round here sells it, shell petrol stations, BP, local shops sell it

theres also a relentless inferno you can buy, its orange flavor ( tastes like cheepo sparkling orange from tesco thats 17p per 2 litres )

i drink that first thing as i tend to find relentless mixed fruit is a little sharp to drink at 7:30am

same effect though, not refreshing though if you fancy a drink, but in the morning its a winner

I have the same problem, but I also keep waking up at stupid times thinking about what I've got to do at work. I've tried all sorts from pills to a thing that plays soothing sounds like rainfall and white noise, but to no avail.

I've been to the doctors and they've said it's anxiety and that I need to relax - easier said than done

this is a strange one, and i suppose its how people cope with things

i love being busy, and having loads to do
makes me feel im achieving something by planning/organising and getting the things i need to do done

i look forward to going to sleep after a busy day and find watching anything on tv, mainly films, helps me relax and fall asleep straight away when i go to bed, then wake up fresh in the morning

thanks for the help people .
i dont feel stressed , i keep getting told i could not be a more laid back person
i get a bit stressed at work , but just down a bloke there who is a simple sod , but it dosnt bother me that much
i often take on to much work so that might not help ???( i'm a mechanic , by the way )
but i enjoy working hard at work , because i get a bit of a buzz of sorting it all out .
then i work on mates cars so i have to sort out when a can do them ,
i do eat late around 8 due the time i get home , and it's a big'ish meal
then on the pc .
so it looks like i'm might not be giving my body time to wind down before i go to bed !!!!!
i could the get missus to help me relax before i go to bed
we have a little lad , but he sleeps through and is no trouble , he sleeps right through the night 7-7
i could try working less , but its all down to money , i'm not in dept or have any out standing bill's so dont worry there .
but i just like to save and have some spare in the bank for a rainy day
think i will wait a while yet before i try the drink idea's
i could smoke a bit , but i dont smoke
beer would help , but dont want to turn into an alcoholic
