Default fitting a fuelfilter

on a saff 2 wd cossie; does it matter how its get fitted ?
I mean, there's a flat and a more rounded side on the fuelfilter, does that make any difference on how to fit it ?

It's a genuine Ford one

its got to fitted right as it flows one way, it should have an around for the flow route

damn... mine didn't had that flow route displayed so I think i fitted it the wrong way
