On a brighter note....
....we brought home our male rottie pup last night 
...Now makes 3 of the beasts...this one has a tail though as its now illegal to dock..my other 2 are bemused by it...LOL...13 weeks old and already 17kilos

Yes the dad was BIG...i have never seen such a big headed Rottie TBH even my Missus said shit 
...We saw his mother,father,brother,sister,grandma and uncle!!!!!!A very well bred dog...well should be for the price..LOL.

RE 'dogs back end' pretty common on GSD's for some reason, some sort of problems they seem to get with their hips
I remember when my mum used to breed them and they had 'hip scores' think it was an x-ray or something?

Agree with that.
My breed Victorian Bulldogs are very rare and only a handful of select breeders but of late some crosses have been appearing in papers passing them off as Vic Bulls for Ł600 to Ł800 what is way under price. Feel for the people who buy them as when they contact the Victorian Bulldog Foundation they get told the truth and knocked back.

..the tail is totally WRONG....i had been seriously contemplating not having another Rottie....but they are all i know...i have showed/bred and only had rotties.......i will get used to it....i will admit there balance as pups is better!!!!

pupppy farms are just wrong, how can you show love to a animal when you see what hes parents have had to go though for him

A friend's parents who have always had dogs including a couple of rotties bought one recently. It was docked on the last day allowed and that's why they got him, as they didn't want to get one in future with a tail.
He's awesome, his name is Ike and they saw all the parents etc and got a factfile thing with him with loads of info and an ancestory list going back about 6 generations to some dogs in Holland I think it was.
Pretty cool really.
