epilepsy or seizures
does anyone have it on here.....i've been told by a consultant that i may have a form of it, i have tried reading up on it but can only find where it says about fits and seizures....i dont have fits but have been playing footie and end up stopping in my tracks and just stand there upright until someone notices and tries to bring me round.......i also feel very unwell but i cant seem to find anything on the web that states about feeling unwell while having epilepsy.....makes me think the consultant is wrong and just guessing....will be having my mri scan tomorrow and then back for results the following thursday....just dont feel like i can wait that long.
does anyone have epilepsy or have seizures but also at other times feel unwell with it.

The standing still bit could be absences, which is linked to epilepsy but not actually classed as a seizure
The Doris and I foster a lad of 5 with severe epilepsy... You are best of seeing a specialist rather than getting advice from different people, there are so many different forms of it and different severities, have looked after kids with full on seizures (like on the telly ) and kids that just have absences where they are in a world of their own for 2 secs, maybe 5 mins
Best off seeing a speicalist Good luck!

My brother was banned for driving as he collapsed in the street and fitted.
He wasn't allowed to drive for a year as it took so long. It turned out he had a form of diabetes and he is now kept under control with insulin.
Good luck with the MRI.

If you are suffering from epilepsy then try not to push yourself too hard, i.e work long hours and then play football. Sit playing computer games after a hard day.
Most important though make sure your friends and family know and someone knows where you are all the time. Make sure they are prepared for what might happen if you do have an attack as it can be quite shocking to watch someone go through it.
