Yes, of course. Why not
because regardless of how much someone earns, that is a PURE FUCKING RIP OFF! I'd personally be WELL pissed off if i was paying that.

let's meet in the middle then... you up yours to 32% or whatever and i'll drop mine to the same level... lol.

Never knew it existed TBH!
it is bollox though to be honest i earn £40k a year and i pay the same tax rate as this guy who earns that in nearly a week
but you only pay 40% on the last part, and NI does drop to 1% i think so its not that bad is it.

up until the £32 k mark you only pay the 22% rate

unless you have a company car, then you get fucked

In Belgium you would have been in the 50% bracket for most of that amount

Paul isn't the 34K plus your 5k allowance?

So bracket would be 38ish....

That's right as it charged on taxable pay after allowances:-
"Remember, the tax band applies to your income after tax allowances and any reliefs have been taken into account; you're not taxed on all of your income" as per http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTax...Tax/DG_4015566

Paid £100k p.a. (I wish )
first 5k @ 0 % (500 tax code for arguments sake)
5001 - 7,230 @ 10% and so on.....

39601 and above @ 40 % where you may as well give it straight to the government

Don't get how liverpool fans can slate him , scores some great goals and is generally pretty good when played in defence, and very good when in midfield ..... One of Liverpools better players IMHO...

Little Spikey - That's what i thought, so the bracket would be nearer 40k than 35!

Will - I quite Like John, but he's losing his touch of late! If he was on form would have scored in the last 2 matchs against Everton + Arsenal

he plays as a winger in 90% of the games he plays....yet he has no skill, has you ever seen him pull off summat clever? no....cos he can't.

compare him to the wide players at the other clubs in the top 4 then you see how lacking in real talent he is.

granted he has scored some good goals, and important ones too...without them he would have been long gone imo.

as a left back he is ok, he can tackle and take throw ins, which is about all you need to do
