IIRC if it is the cossie one, the original 'book' way of setting up was to undo the two bolts so that the TPS could move freely. then rotate against the direction of the spring about 90 degrees (will only turn one way that far) and then let go. In theory that should be the correct position.

Otherwise, you need to use a voltmeter to makesure that you have the correct output voltage. I will need to dig out the ecu pins though

Only comment I would make is that when I had trouble with mine, the TPS was miles out, which led the ECU to disengaging the ISCV, which leads to a very very high idle.

If it went for a setup, are you sure they havent just got the mixture wrong (ie the CO screw on the front of the ECU)? Will tend to hunt if either too lean or rich at idle. Just a thought

Remember though - I am just a DIY monkey

also worth unplugging the iscv when engine is hot and checking the base idle......

and if your idle is ok when the engine is hot..maybe the iscv is sticking and not opening when it should, so it may be worth giving it a clean with thin oil..not wd40!

hmm, maybe could be mixture screw, shud get it checked.

Wen cold it will rev up to 1300rpm, hold it for 3 or 4 seconds, but then will drop, and it will have to pick its self up again to 1300rpm.

Wen Hot it idles ok, just a tiny fluctuation?
