if these cars are like 20-25k i think my 3dr is worth at least 15k which IMO i dont think it is.

seems like the prices of 500's have gone up for no reason, the demand isnt high, people have just started putting silly prices on them.

granted, some very low mileage ones command high value, but your average 500 at 20k pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease

how much would a 30k mile mint 3dr worth in comparison then?

surely there wouldnt still be a 10k price gap, there has been before, normally its like 5-6k

Its no big secret (even though karting as usual claims to know something no one else knows) - the owner has openly said on the RSOC website that the white 500 one listed on here was reshelled into a 3dr registered shell.

He has kept the 3dr floor numbers but is using the 500 slam panel tag and v5 - he seems to think its not a problem, but I imagine plod and DVLA would not agree with him.

Personally, i wouldnt ever buy a 500 over a 3 door. I just dont think their worth around double that of a 3dr for not that much more car. Just my opinion, but id much rather have a decent 3dr which looks and drives the same for half the money and probably even less than half.

It was for sale on the RSOC a while back, there was alot of negative vibes with it nad it came out it was reshelled..

Shame, cus it's a nice spec too..

i personal would not buy a reshelled one,

when you can get an original car for the same money,

lets face it you are buying a 20 year old car and with any car this old condition/ history / original parts is still the main thing people wont.

even if its not on the rs500 engine block the registar will de value it

i love 500`s and 3 doors in general.
But even if i had the money i would never pay that much for one .
I think they will be for sale for a long time at those prices,500s had a big year due to Pauls input last year.I blame him for the owners beliving there 500`s are worth 15k more than a good quality 3 door

I sold my white 500 for 20k in 4 days flat so the price for the moonstone and black 500 is very very realistic

I have been involved in the sale of quite a few rs500"s since being the registrsr and if people like it or not the prices have gone sky high and will keep doing so

Paul,as far as i am concerned ,i like the look of the sierra and the performance .
The fact that 500 are limited is the only diference for me,they are a production car at the end of the day ,.
You dont need a 500 these days to get big bhp as we all know.
And i aint into nostalgia in a big way ,if it was a race preped 500 with pedigree then if i had the dosh i would do it,but not for a limetid edition.

But if people want to pay that sort of price thats there perogative ,me personaly no thanks..
Look what happend to you with the white one ,to scared to use it mate .
So 2ok plus for an ornament is a bit much imo.

Just my view at the end of the day.

i was realy tempted by the moonstone and had a good look round it at this years north yorks day and it is absolutley mint in every way but at the end of the day id change the turbo and the inlet so i couldnt see the point in buying a 500 for 25k then taking off what makes it a 500 in the first place


soon as im back on the road ill be getting another blue 3 door and i know where there is a a 10k mile car for Ł9500

If 500"s dont float your boat thats fine , I wouldnt pay the money that lambos etc cost , each to there own , but for people to come on here and say those 500"s are overpriced is just lack of knowlage about the car and what people will pay to own one .

the 500 is in big demand now and all over the world they are being bought up by people from just about every corner of the clobe and this is why prices are going up and up as the demand to own one is bigger now that ever .

I have turned down big offers for my 9,000 miles white 500 , and also turned down good offers for my black one , so please dont try and tell me they are overpriced because like anything they are worth what people will pay ,,and for a nice 500 people are willing to pay
