the visible structure in the shell is just so that it doesnt fall apart. it was reinforced with wood originally and the sheetmetal was nailed onto it with little brass looking nails..... now that had to go and in came 3x3cm square tube with 2mm wall thickness, so far about 12 meters

sorry, but if you're putting that much effort into building a hotrod with that much fabrication involved, it would make sense to get the basics right first

an angle grinder may well take the top off the big blobs of bird shit, but it won't help with the lack of penetration

i hope the project brings you a lot of pleasure anyway

We've got a few big engines on the shelf at work,

Aston Vanquish V12?
AC Ace / Mustang Cobra V8?
Porsche 928 5.4 V8?
Cerbera 4.2 + 4.5 V8?
F360 Challenge Stradale V8?
Chimaera/Rover 5.0 V8?
Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged V8?
Esprit V8 twin turbo?

Any of these any good?

Wath about a lexus v8 32 valve.
I believe some people have run twin turbo setups on the engine whit good results

Or audi rs6 v8 twin turbo engine.

Anyway wil this hot rod have good handling?

RS6 engine was something i was thinking of. just the electronics that put me off really....im undecided

mate of mine has a 57 chevy and a 39 ford 2 door
the 39 has a bbc and over 12k invested in just the motor,
its got a full chris issac chassis and is all steel and never had
any rust,his last race car did 9's,and this is going to be quicker
