Another thing to note is that the belts dont whine it must be the tensioner making the noise,so look at replacing it

regards mark

I have just backed it off a bit, sound has stopped so all sorted, new tensioner is on the list of things to do next ASAP
I can just turn the belt 90 o deg on the right hand side and its not slapping about so all good

THATS EXACTLY WHAT MINE WAS DOING CHANGED EVERYTHING , TENSIONER ETC, LOOSENED THE BELT JUST A LITTLE AND THE NOISE WENT .FOUND THAT THE BELT TIGHTENED ITSELF SLIGHTLY WHEN THE ENGINE GOT HOT AND THATS WHEN THE NOISE APPEARED, SO I ADJUSTED MINE WITH THE ENGINE HOT AND ITS BEEN FINE SINCE
