I was there when they tested the engines at full throttle, and I questioned them about noise, and apparantly it's the 'wrong type of noise' to set the meter off, and they haven't had any complaints!?

i would like to think that an aircraft noise and an airfield would allways be the right "type" of noise, but you never know what residents will complain about next

One of my favourite childhood memories is seeing the Vulcnas fling over, the used to fly in 3's in a V formation the sound they made shook you out the house...

I lived directly under there main flight path too RAF Scampton about 5 miles away.

tip top good to see it in the air finally

i was talking to the oner of brunters earlyer in the year when he was complaining about the mk3 triping the meeters he said they can land a plain every 2 mins & no complaints can be made as the primary use of the site is an airfield but cars going round can be complained about

i say spend a week doing toutch & go's with a couple of big jets & the complaining old coonts will realise cars arent really so bad
